I am a tutor with extensive experience studying and teaching history. I completed a bachelor's degree in history from the University of Michigan. I am comfortable tutoring students in a variety of history related subjects, including American history, European history, geography, global politics, global religions, government and politics, and social studies. I am also comfortable tutoring students in English, phonics, literature, writing, reading, and public speaking. I gained experience as a tutor by helping my fellow students prepare for exams. I also helped them edit their essays. My area of expertise is helping students prepare for standardized tests. I enjoy helping students prepare for the LSAT and SAT because I like the idea that there are multiple ways of answering a question. My goal as a tutor is to help explain to my students all of the different ways of answering the question and help them find the way that will be the most effective for them. My value as a tutor stems from the fact that I am flexible. My priority is for my students to succeed, and I am willing and able to adapt my typical tutoring strategy to match what will help my students the most. In my free time, I like to listen to music, play basketball, and go to Mets games.
